Banaatun Noor summer and winter camps are the cornerstone of our transformative programs.

 Under the guidance of qualified teachers, participants at our camps learn the art and science of reciting the Quran with proper pronunciation, intonation, and rhythm, ensuring that the recitation is both beautiful and accurate.  

 In-depth lessons on Tafseer of the Qur'an are offered at our camps to foster a thorough understanding of the context of Quranic revelation. Participants are encouraged  to study the Quran in both Arabic and English. 

The beautiful tradition of the Shama'il and the study of the Uswai e Rasool are the fragrant center of the Banaat tun Noor camps which softens the hearts and draws our participants close to Nabi Muhammad (sas)

 BNI offers beginner, intermediate and advanced spoken Arabic classes. Our intensive Arabic language classes are an excellent opportunity for those  looking to build a strong foundation in spoken Arabic and practice their language skills with others of all skill levels. 

The study of Hadith is an integral part of the BNI camp curriculum. Hadith al Salman as well as 40 Jami Hadith are reviewed in both Arabic and English with the goal of memorizing them in their entirety. 

BNI offers the study of the Kufi Mushafi script written on paper using a traditional wooden pen known as a qalam. The study of this ancient script  establishes a strong connection to Quran as it was written and read during the time of the Sahaba. During the course of our camps students will prepare a small composition to take home as a beautiful and lasting  reminder.  

Knowledge and application of Islamic Law is a must for all Muslims. Our Qudoori Fiqh class covers a wide array of topics relevant to the correct practice of Islam for Muslim ladies. During this essential class a clear understanding of what is permissible is established to remove doubts and misinformation. 

Our Nikkah & Talaaq class covers the rights regarding marriage and divorce according to Islamic Law and the Sunnah of Nabi (sas) while cultivating the principles of a strong and harmonious marriage. Participants are able to submit anonymous questions and receive advice from qualified Islamic scholars and marriage counselors. 

All camp participants learn the basics of Islamic culinary recipes focusing on dishes from Southeast Asia. The practice of cooking nourishing meals and establishing a Sunnah of eating in community fosters a deeper bond of sisterhood at our camps which continues on in the homes of our participants. 

Traditional crafts forms an important part of the camp curriculum. BNI offers a wide range of crafts including embroidery, crochet, knitting and sewing and more. 

The friendly spirit of competition is one of the  highlights of Banaat tun Noor's camp commencement ceremonies. Camp participants are encouraged to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have gained during the duration of the camp.  Competition categories include, Quranic recitation, Arabic oratory, Poetry, Islamic calligraphy, Crochet, Embroidery, Cooking and more!
